This Privacy Policy describes how Voice Lens ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), developed by Sparkling Apps (Sparkling Design & Infotech Pvt. Ltd.), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application.

Voice Lens performs optical character recognition (OCR) on images and documents and converts recognized text into speech, with a focus on supporting Indian languages and scripts, including for accessibility purposes.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Images and Documents You Provide

When you take a photo, select an image from your gallery, or import a PDF for text recognition, that image or document is processed by the App in order to extract text and generate speech output. This content is used solely to perform the OCR and text-to-speech function you requested.

1.2 Device Storage Access

The App requests permission to access your device's photo library and storage in order to:

• Let you select existing images or PDFs for text recognition
• Save generated audio (WAV) files that you choose to export
• Automatically rotate and process multi-page scans

1.3 Advertising Identifier

The App may display ads through Google AdMob. To do so, it accesses your device's advertising ID (a resettable identifier provided by Android) for ad delivery and measurement purposes. You can reset or limit this identifier at any time in your device's Settings.

1.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect your name, email address, or other direct personal identifiers through the App itself.

• To perform on-device or app-local OCR text recognition on images you provide
• To convert recognized text into spoken audio using text-to-speech
• To let you save or export generated audio files at your request
• To display advertisements that help support free use of the App
• To diagnose crashes and improve app stability and performance

3. On-Device vs. Cloud Processing

Voice Lens is built to perform text recognition and text-to-speech processing primarily on your device using offline engines. Where a supported Indian language voice is unavailable offline, the App may fall back to your device's system text-to-speech service (such as Google TTS) to generate audio; in that case, the relevant text may be sent to that service by your device's operating system, subject to its own privacy policy.

Images, extracted text, and generated audio are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not retain copies of your images, documents, or audio on our own servers. You can delete this content at any time by removing it from your device or uninstalling the App.

7. Children's Privacy

Voice Lens is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. Your Choices

• You can deny or revoke camera/storage permissions at any time in your device Settings, though this may limit App functionality.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising, or reset your advertising ID, through your device's ad settings.
• You can uninstall the App at any time to remove locally stored data associated with it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
